Shop update… update.

So close, and yet so far away! We had to make a tough call and decided to postpone the major shop update until mid-May. So many things are happening in such a short period that there was only one clear choice. This will also give me just a little more time to make sure all of my paperwork and labeling is in order too, which seems to be one of the more complex tasks on my list.

Order shipments are going to be on a brief pause for the first couple of weeks in May. We have a handful of special events coming up that are going to keep us from being able to send out packages for just a brief period. Once we all settle back down, we will start posting our tinctures one by one.

We would also really love to get some feedback from those of you who have previously purchased remedies from us! Please, let us know how well they have worked for you and leave a review. But also, please keep in mind that any reviews that contain statements like “it cured my (insert health ailment here),” will have to be removed because of the FDA guidelines. Definitely not trying to catch a fine.

Homesteading update.

We finally got through birthing season! All of our lambs have been sold for this year and 3 of our baby goats have been taken to their forever homes. Its a fantastic feeling knowing that your animals earned their keep, as well as found awesome homes. The final baby goat was born April 13th and we are officially moving on to shearing season.

Butter Bean, our baby goat that broke her leg, is healing up wonderfully. She has spent the last few weeks with her leg in a sling to immobilize it. The leg bone did heal kind of weird, but she doesn’t seem to mind that at all. We are thinking that she will stay with us as a pet. Fortunately, it does look like she will have some level of use of her back leg, it’s just going to be a little wonky for the rest of her life. Thats okay. She has learned to use a potty mat inside the house too, so that’s pretty cool.

Currently we are getting about 2 gallons of goats milk every single day, which consequently means CHEESE. A lot of it. On average I’m making cheese or yogurt every other day just to keep up with my fridge space. We are drinking more milk than I think we ever have, and using milk in almost every recipe I can. Its an absolute joy. I just made my first batch of Feta and tasted just a little before putting it in a brine to age for a month…. the fact that I could make real cheese that tasted that good absolutely blows my mind.

Adrian will be shipping off to Nationals next week for the big tournament. He has been training super hard and is finally getting scores during practice that might actually get him somewhere. We are hoping and praying that God gives him a fantastic experience, safe travels, and that Adrian would make wise choices. This is a super big year for our boy, and we are very, very proud of him. He doesn’t feel like he truly earned this experience, but we have seen the work that he has put into it. I’ve explained to him that so much of the good that we get in life truly isn’t something we deserve, but that’s why it’s considered a blessing and God’s grace. These are great things that we should always be grateful for because it’s a reflection of how loved we truly are.

Biblical things update.

The Spring Feasts are HERE! Passover, Unleavened Bread and First Fruits are upon us! Starting the beginning of next week, we will be celebrating the death and resurrection of our Savior. For 8 days we will eat unleavened bread, representing the removal of sin from our lives as Yeshua (Jesus) makes us clean through His amazing sacrifice. Sunday we will have a family feast in honor of God’s commandment to keep His feasts and the following Sunday we will be celebrating Jesus as the First Fruits of the resurrected, looking forward to the promise that one day the dead will rise again. We would love to hear how your family spends these amazing feast days!

Life is good! Spring here is beautiful and we are looking forward to giving yall the next big update!
